Dr. Chakameh Azimpour is an experienced virologist and analytical development leader with expertise in viral safety, microbiology, gene therapy, and quality control. She currently serves as Director of Virology and Microbiological Sciences, leading viral safety and microbiology strategy and partnering across R&D, manufacturing, and commercial teams to support Process Solutions technologies. Her work spans microbiological testing strategies, viral safety assessments, raw material evaluation, and scientific support for customer applications.
In addition to her industry role, Dr. Azimpour contributes scientific expertise to academic and consortium initiatives, including consulting engagements with the MIT Center for Biomedical Innovation (MIT-CBI) and her work with the Consortium on Adventitious Agent Contamination in Biomanufacturing (CAACB), where she supports efforts related to viral safety, pandemic preparedness, and cross-industry learning.
