Catherine Teo is Principal Scientist in R&D – Biopharma Production at Avantor, where she leads technology development and evaluation with a focus on mRNA process optimization and affinity resin innovation. She earned her Ph.D. in Virology from Imperial College London, conducting research on spatial analysis of protein synthesis using click chemistry. Before transitioning to industry, her work centered on elucidating viral mechanisms of action and pathways to enable the development of antivirals and therapeutic antibodies.
