Raghu Shivappa is an experienced leader in bio therapeutics and vaccine development, currently serving as Vice President/Head of Global Biotherapeutics Process Development at Takeda Pharmaceuticals. He oversees a global team of scientists and engineers, managing cell line development, drug substance process development, clinical manufacturing, and regulatory filings. His previous roles include positions at Janssen R&D, Novartis Vaccines and Diagnostics, KBI Biopharma, and Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies, where he led teams in upstream process development, tech transfer, and GMP manufacturing. He holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Virology from the University of Maryland and has extensive experience in virology, cell culture, and biomanufacturing.
