Maurizio Cattaneo did a Ph.D. at McGill in the area of enzyme replacement therapy for ureamia. He then proceeded to National Research Council as a Research Officer in the area of biosensor development. He founded several companies in the area of drug delivery and cell culture and finally but not least, he developed and patented a single use perfusion system for gene and cell therapy at his newly found company Artemis Biosystems.
